Trusting God
Trusting God is like riding in a plane. Just think about it.
You trust the pilot and the plane to safely get you from point A to B, 40,000 feet in the air with only space and time between you and the ground.
You have no control, but you are sure the pilot is going to get you there. THAT’S TRUST. That’s just like God.
Ultimately, we have no control over our lives--we think we do-- but we have to trust that God will get us where we need to go, just like the pilot.
In comparison, how much more can you trust God with your life? And the most incredible thing is you cannot crash.
Of course, there is turbulence, there are ups and downs in life, but eventually, the turbulence stops. Remember, God is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28), so when you make it to point B, you are hitting a smooth landing.
Why trust God? Well first, trusting God is the key component of faith, and it pleases Him.
Hebrew 11:6 states, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (NIV)
2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “for we walk by faith, not by sight.” (ESV)
Hebrew 11:1 states, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (KJV)
Also, there are benefits to trusting God.
Here is what His Word says in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV).
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
God made you a promise. So, trust Him.
Happy Flying!
